Murkowski, Lisa
Lisa Murkowski is an Alaska Republican who has served in the U.S. Senate since 2002, when her father, then-Gov. Frank Murkowski, appointed her to fill his former seat. After losing the 2010 Republican primary, she won reelection as a write-in candidate, becoming one of only two senators ever elected that way. She won reelection in 2022 over a Trump-endorsed challenger. She now chairs the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. She is expected to run for re-election in 2028.
