The only thing left to figure out is what to do about parking on campus. Here are your options: a. You can purchase a F-20 permit for $175 for the spring 2005 semester. Cost is about $35 per month. The F-20 allows you to park right in front of the Law School. If you choose to go with the F-20 permit, please let me know so that I can submit the application for you. I will need a credit card number and expiration date if you choose to purchase the F-20 permit. b. You can park in the San Jacinto Parking Garage right next to the Law School. The rates are as follows: 0 minutes to 30 minutes = no charge 31 minutes to 59 minutes = $3.00 1 hour to 1 hour and 59 minutes = $5.00 Over two hours = $7.00 c. UT Share Card - San Jacinto Parking Garage Debit Card This card is like a front-loaded debit card. The initial minimum purchase price is $20. Each time the card is used, $5 will be deducted from your card regardless of how long your car was parked in the garage. Cards can be purchased at the Cashier's Office located in the garage. Thank you for inviting me teach again this year. I'm not sure if I'll be able to teach this Spring. I would like to do so, since I enjoy teaching very much (and I think the students enjoy the class and find it worthwhile). But I've now returned to private practice and moved to Houston, which 2

complicates the logistics. Two things would, I think, make it feasible. First, I would propose co-teaching the class with Jim Ho, who succeeded me as the Solicitor General of Texas. Jim is a former Supreme Court clerk and a very talented advocate; I think he'd be a terrific complement to the course, and he (and I) would enjoy teaching together. He is cc'd. Second, would be timing. Since I'd have to travel up from Houston for the class, ideally I'd like to teach the class Friday mornings, say 10 am - noon. But, I don't know if there is such a slot available or if scheduling a class at that time would be feasible. Please let me know your and Dean Dickerson's thoughts on these possibilities.
