Great Class!
Best class I have had in Law School.
Good info about Supreme Court. Never got as good of background before about justices.
Fantastic course – thanks so much for taking the time to teach it.
As mentioned, the only to improve would be earlier distribution of the syllabus. Thanks!

The course was a really great experience. Only things I think could be improved are talking more about
form and technique before starting the cases and get a more in depth perspective on each of the Justice’s
jurisprudences (more than just background/biography information
I very much enjoyed this seminar, particularly because the subject matter was interesting and the writing
assignments were broken up. While I appreciated being taught by someone w/ Supreme Court experience,
I would prefer learning more about court history and advocacy techniques than personal anecdotes. I did
appreciate having the opportunity to moot but wished we given more guidance and critique on our writing
assignments.
My only “critique” would be that the opinion due dates are too rigid. Because we are working on our
arguments during mid-semester, we don’t have a great range of cases to write on, and we’re forced to
choose between one of the last couple of cases. Only a minor point, really.
Great seminar, Thanks!
It would have helped to have additional guidelines on writing the brief, but feedback on oral arguments
was great.
Course got off to a bit of a slow start, but once we began with our arguments, it was an invaluable
experience.

This course was excellent. I have so much more respect both for my classmates and those who actually
practice appellate work. A very enjoyable, but humbling experience. Thanks
