At the same time, Officer McLaughlin (Gallatin Airport Authority) was calling me to the United Ticket Counter. A male (later determined to be Ted Cruz) was requesting [illegible] call her manager and waive the baggage check in time. [illegible] told me he (Cruz) was already past the baggage checkin time (10:46 a.m. was the flight departure set for United 5800) and she was the best he was going to get and would have to get re-booked. I learned another United Gate Agent [illegible] was working on a re-book, but it would have to wait until the other passengers were checked in. She indicated any rebooking would have to be done for the next day, given all flights were full for the day. I told Cruz this problem was because he was too late and he would have to wait for a re-booking. Cruz agreed to cooperate with that request. * On review of camera footage, Cruz and his family arrived at the outer curb of the Ticket Counter at 10:14 a.m. Cruz approaches the United Gate Agent at 10:21 a.m. * I did not know this was Ted Cruz until I left from the response. I am requesting copies of all officer reports, officer narratives, and/or incident reports or related documents involving the individual(s) listed below on March 20, 2022: • FULL NAME: Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz; Born 12/22/1970 Specifically, I would like any and all documentation involving airport public safety officer and Cruz during this incident. I realize that certain costs may be applicable to this request. Please contact me when you can provide a payment amount for my requests.
